Malcolm E. ''Duke'' Connors, 74, of 15 Main Street in Brookline died peacefully at his home on May 2, 2002 surrounded by his family. Mr. Connors was born on May 8, 1927 in Manchester, NH the son of the late Joseph Stafford and Louise (Boland) Connors. He was a US Navy Veteran who served during World War II and the Korean War. He was a printer by trade and worked for Currier Citizen in Lowell, MA for 20 years. He served as past President of the Lowell Typographical Union for over 10 years. Duke relocated to Brookline, New Hampshire in 1975 with his family and became a facility supervisor for the Hollis-Brookline School District. In addition, he drove school bus routes for Nashua, Hollis and Brookline for over 17 years. He had an Irish spirit and a genuine soul. Family members include; his wife of 53 years, Jean (Allfrey) Connors; two sons, David M. Connors and Douglas E. Connors both of Brookline, NH; two daughters, Patricia A. Coleman and her husband Michael of Merrimack, NH and Katherine J. Connors of Brookline, NH; as well as five grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Home Health and Hospice, 80 Continental Boulevard, Merrimack, NH 03060 and/or to the Humane Society of Greater Nashua, 24 Ferry Road, Nashua, NH 03064 A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at 3pm, Saint Patrick's Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford NH followed by a gathering at the Hollis Brookline High School, 24 Cavalier Court, Hollis, NH.
