Marcel G. Rivet, 79, of Manchester, died Oct.16,2000, in his home after a lengthy illness. Mr. Rivet was born in Penacook, NH on Dec. 29, 1920. He was the son of Arthur and Marie (Duguerchets) Rivet. He has resided in Manchester most of his life. During World War II he served as a major in the 14th Canadian armored division ''Calgary Regiment'' from 1939 to 1945. Before retiring he worked for many years as a rigger for Louis P. Cote Inc and as a mechanic for Foster Grant/ Nycoa plastics After his retirement he owned and operated B&M Sportscards in Manchester. Family members include his wife, Dorothy (Tierney) Rivet, three daughters Mrs. Kathy Iacovella of Manchester, Mrs. Donna Morgan of Manchester, Mrs. Brenda Gonzalez of San Antonio, TX; three sons, Kenneth Rivet of Hooksett, Arthur Rivet of Manchester, Mark Rivet of Manchester;one sister Marguerite Scott of Manchester;several nephews & nieces:9 grand-children, 3 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Hospice Dept. of the Visiting Nurses Association, 1850 Elm Street, Manchester, NH. No calling hours, a private service will be held for the immediate family .
