Marcina Barker

Marcina Jean (Quimby) Barker, 86, died Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH. 

Born on October 6, 1937 in Madison, Wisconsin, Marcina is the daughter of the late Oscar and Marguerite Quimby. Raised and educated in Cincinnati, Ohio, Marcina was a graduate of Miami University, OH with a Masters Degree in mathematics. For many years, she worked in Silicon Valley, CA before retiring in the late 1990s from Hewlett Packard in Palo Alto, CA. In 2006, Marcina relocated to Nashua, NH.

A longtime member of the All Saints Episcopal Church, Chelmsford, MA, Marcina found great comfort and strength in her church community and faith. She loved attending plays, listening to music, and playing board games and card games with her dear friends and family. Marcina’s memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. 

Marcina is survived by her daughter, Cristin Moore; two sons, Robert Moore and Jonathan Moore; and four grandchildren, Oliver, Lily, Zachary and Elliot Moore.

SERVICES: Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 16 at 11am at the All Saints Episcopal Church, 10 Billerica St., Chelmsford, MA. Family and friends are invited to attend. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Manchester.
