Margaret R. Peggy (McLennan) Blais, 81, of Nashua died January 22nd at Southern NH Medical Center in Nashua, NH surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born on January 9, 1926 in Lynn, MA, the daughter of the late Thomas and Louisa McLennan II. She made her home in Windham and Nashua, NH for the last 60 years. Margaret graduated from South Boston High School in 1944. She was the widow of the late Vincent Blais with whom she shared 53 years of marriage. She worked for many years at Elliots Department Store on Main Street in Nashua. Peggys life revolved around her family and many life long friends. For anyone who knew and loved her, she was a pillar of strength and courage. Margaret was also a poet, scrabble player and enjoyed bingo with friends and was a Patriot Fan. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother and sister in-law, Thomas III and Frances McLennan. Margaret is survived by her daughter Cynthia and her husband Paul Delude of Merrimack, NH; two sons and daughters in-law, Russell and Elaine Blais of Whitesboro, NY and Matt and Patsy Blais of Sydney River, Nova Scotia, Canada; 6 loving grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband Tom Stuart of Merrimack, NH, Kristen Delude and her fiancé Scott Wolfe of Stamford, Conn., Timothy Blais of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Christopher Blais of Yellow Knife, Northwest Territory, Canada and Daniel and Kathryn Blais of Whitesboro, NY; two precious great granddaughters, Olivia and Hayden Stuart; loving sister Patricia McLennan of Manchester and William McLennan of MA and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Memorial Calling Hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8PM at the Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover St, Manchester. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00AM in the Chapel of the Cremation Society. Burial will be at the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Association, the American Heart Association or to the charity of your choice.
