Margaret Susan Grose passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024 at the age of 67 surrounded by family. Born on December 8, 1956 in Amherst, Massachusetts, she went on to graduate from Drew University and later would complete her masters degree in elementary education.
She loved the time that she spent as a kindergarten teacher; she was a born educator. Singing, drawing, creating, planting, and seeking out the beauty in the world were among her many gifts. Peggy was endlessly grateful to have found her home in the White Mountains with the love of her life, Dave Laton. Their time together was a treasure to them both. Trinkets and tokens, love notes and affirmations – and chickens – can be found throughout the sanctuary they created with each other and their beloved pets, Gracie and Musket. Peggy took such delight in the wonders of the world, both great and small.
Predeceased by her parents, Robert F. Grose and Ann H. Grose, she is survived by her partner, Dave Laton, her daughters, Rebecca Lovenheim (Michael) and Kimberly Woo, her granddaughters, Skyler and Natalie Lovenheim, and Amarrah Woo, and her siblings Peter Grose (Ruth Nye), Catherine Carrier (Phillip), and Amy Grose (Cherry Bennett) as well as beloved cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Peggy had a smile and a hug for everyone, anytime, and her family asks that you share joy and love with others in her memory. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to your local SPCA or an organization that brings people together in peace.
A celebration of her life will take place at Ashland Community Church on December 14, 2024 at 1 pm, located at 55 Main St. Ashland, NH 03217. (Church across the street from Bob's store) Snacks will be served following the service with a meet and greet for Peggy's friends and family. All are welcome, come as you are.
