Margaret L. Trombley 93, of Hampton, NH and formerly of Palmyra, VA and Keene, NH died on Friday, May 19, 2017 with her daughter Alison by her side. In 2014 she returned to NH to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She was born on September 29, 1923 in Lynton, Devon, England the daughter of the late John and Lena (Hopkins) Ridge. Mrs. Trombley was a veteran of the British Royal Air Force having served in the Enigma communication operation. After World War II she and her late husband, Joseph O. Trombley came to live in Keene, NH. She worked in several businesses and enjoyed gardening and tennis and was one of the founding members of the Keene Indoor Racket Club. She was an avid dog lover. After retirement, she and her husband traveled in their RV where they explored the United States and spent the winters in Florida.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Alison and Joseph Lysitt of Hampton, NH; her son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Jacqueline Trombley of Barboursville VA; four grandchildren and their families, Marc Lysitt of Berlin, NH; Kyle Lysitt of Edenton, NC; Laura Hanna of Culpepper, VA and Benjamin Trombley of Charlottesville, VA; five great-grandchildren; one sister Marion Chubb of Devon, England; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A remembrance gathering with be held at the First Congregational Church of Hampton, NH on Saturday, June 17 @ 10:30 am.
