Margaret Lorraine (Primus) Turcotte, known as Peggy, died peacefully at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, N.H. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Peggy was born on July 31, 1925 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, the only daughter along with three sons of Conrad G. Primus II and Madelyn L. (Drown) Primus. She was educated in the Pepperell, Massachusetts school district.
For 55 years, Peggy was the devoted wife of the late Marcel R. Turcotte who died on December 19, 2000. They were married at St. Patrick's Church in Nashua on June 18, 1945, and made their home on Blossom Street in Nashua.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, grammy and friend who loved life and lived every minute of every day to the fullest, making it count. She loved the ocean and spent many summers at Salisbury and Ogunquit beaches and for several winters, travelled to Florida. Peggy loved to dance
and knit. Peggy will be best remembered for her kind heart and love of family.
Peggy enjoyed working at Lincoln's Department Store where she managed the Hosiery Department and was known as the "stocking girl". She also worked at Scontsas & Sons, and was in management at Almy's and McQuade's Department Stores until retiring to care for her ailing husband.
She was predeceased by her only son, Daniel R. Turcotte, who died on May 2, 2007 at the age of 42. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Frederick A. Primus and Robert J. Primus.
Peggy is survived by her two daughters, Linda J. Lebrun and husband Raymond R. of Nashua, and Darlene A. Deckman and husband James W. III of Milford; seven grandchildren, Christopher R. Cates of Nashua, Timothy A. Cates Sr. and wife Kimberly of Manchester, Scott P. Lacasse and wife Megan I. of Haiku, Hawaii, Angela L. Clark and husband David W. of Nashua, Melissa Turcotte of Merrimack, Daniel Turcotte Jr., of Rhode Island, Tiffany Heiselman and husband Mark of Florida. She is survived by six great grandchildren, Zachary A. and Julian N. Cates; Timothy "TJ" A. Cates, Jr.; Eostara "Star" A. Dehner, Annabel-Lee and Willow Marquis; and Logan and Lennox Potter; great great grandchildren, Theo R. Garofalo and Isabella R. Cates; brother, Conrad "Sonny" G. Primus, III and wife Linda; her sister-in-law, Shirley Primus; a very special nephew, Leo Turcotte and wife Pat; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Memorial Mass will be held in the St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W. Hollis St., Nashua, on Thursday, March 2, at 10:00A.M. followed by Committal at the St. Louis Cemetery, 752 W. Hollis St., Nashua.
