Headline If Possible: A Gifted Teacher and Loving Wife and Mother Marguerite (Margo) S. (Sowers) Rennie, 83, of Weare, died November 25, 2005 at Pleasant View Center in Concord. She was born in York, PA on December 6, 1921, the daughter of Howard and Marie (Plitt) Sowers. She graduated from Northfield Seminary (now called Northfield-Mount Hermon School) in Western, MA in 1941. She went on to receive a Bachelors degree in 1945 from Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA. Several years later, she received a Masters Degree from Boston University. After her marriage in 1945, she lived in Westford, MA for 26 years and had been a resident of Weare since 1977. While wintering in Naples, FL, Margo worked in the public high schools of Pensacola, FL. She spent most of her teaching career in Westford and Lexington, MA as an English teacher and reading specialist. During her years in Westford, she was very active in a variety of church activities. At home, she loved to read, sew, cook and especially enjoyed to do challenging crossword puzzles. At the age of 72, she decided to start taking piano lessons because she wanted to know how. Family members include her husband of 60 years, John Rennie; three sons, Allan Rennie and Neil Rennie, both of Weare and Carl Rennie of Seattle, MA; three grandsons, Michael Rennie of Marblehead, MA, Matthew and Christopher Rennie both of Sugar Hill and one great grandson, Kyle Rennie of Goffstown; four sisters and two brothers in PA and several nephews, nieces and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother and a sister. She is also survived by her beloved daughter-in-law, Shirley Rennie. A memorial gathering will take place at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street on Thursday morning from 10 11 AM with a memorial service to follow in the Chapel at 11:00.
