IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marian
Durgin
February 26, 1961 – February 16, 2026
Marian A. Durgin, 64, of Dover, NH, passed away surrounded by family on February 16, 2026, joining her best friend and husband of over 42 years, Donnie, in eternal rest after only fourteen days apart.
Born in St. Louis, MO, on February 26, 1961, Marian was the daughter of the late Patrick P. Kennedy and Louise (O'Melia) Morgan.
The youngest of six children, Marian was raised in Warminster, Pennsylvania and graduated from William Tennent High School in 1979. She met Donnie while playing in a softball league together and they married in 1983, after which they relocated to New England.
For almost 44 years, Marian worked as an LNA in various nursing facilities in Beverly, MA and Portsmouth, NH. She truly loved her career, never wavered in her hard work, and cared deeply for all of her residents and their families over the years. Taking care of others was what she did best. Her colleagues were her second family and she will be missed beyond imagination.
She was a wonderful mother and a devoted wife. She loved celebrating, decorating for every single holiday, and any excuse to give someone a gift or a little goodie. She also loved puzzles, word games, reading and playing the lottery. She was selfless, silly, and loved a good laugh. She converted from a Philadelphia sports fan after moving to New England and embraced her new sports teams wholeheartedly, especially when it meant attending (many) championship parades in Boston.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marian was preceded in death by her siblings: Michael Kennedy, Patrick Kennedy, LouAnn Baker, and Diane Fusciardi, as well as her stepmother Edwina Kennedy and her stepfather Edward Morgan.
Marian is survived by her three daughters: Jacqueline Blake (James), Kelley Durgin (Brian Eller), Meghan Durgin (Dana Goodrow), and her favorite grandson Derry Blake. She is also survived by her brother, Kevin Kennedy (Anne), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, buy a scratch ticket and think of Marian when you win big (or when you lose.) Details on a celebration of life service will be announced at a later time.
