Marie-Anne (Lacasse) Filteau passed away peacefully after a brief illness on May 22, 2016 surrounded by her loving husband and daughters at her residence in Weare, NH. She was born on December 8, 1931 in Berlin, NH to Alfred and Valeda (Morrissette) Lacasse. Marie-Anne was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed needlework, bingo, and her grandchildren. She gave joy to all whose lives she touched and will be truly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Paul E. Filteau; her three daughters and their husbands, Sue Staklinski and Richard; Elaine Friese and Melvin; Donna Lemay and Ray; and four grandchildren, Amber, Melanie, Jonathan, and Crystina. She is survived by two brothers, Theodore and Paul Lacasse, and five sisters, Dorothee Chaisson, Grace Couture, Lucille Lowe, Jeanne Guerin, and Therese Pinette. She was predeceased by her parents and three sisters: Sylvia Ayotte, Claire Sevigny, and Eliette Hamel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce St., Bedford, NH 03110
