Marie Ann Ricard, 57, of Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Born on December 26, 1967, in Bangor, ME, Marie was raised in Bedford, NH, where she built lifelong memories with her family and friends. She graduated from Manchester High School West in 1986 and went on to work at Allstate Insurance, where she built a meaningful career. In addition to her professional life, Marie found joy in giving back—volunteering at her daughters’ local schools and their little league teams, always eager to support the people and communities she cared about.
Marie was the heart of her family—a natural caretaker, known for her warmth, generosity, and joyful spirit. She loved cooking for her loved ones, entertaining, and singing karaoke by the pool. Summers in the backyard were some of her happiest times, filled with laughter and togetherness.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 31 years, Steven J. Ricard, with whom she shared a deep and devoted bond.
Marie is survived by her two daughters, Alexandra M. Ricard of Manchester and Taylor L. Ricard and her fiancé Gavin B. McFarland of Hooksett. She is also survived by her parents, William and Suzanne Dermody of Bedford; her sisters, Constance Stoddard of Bedford and Victoria Pineault and her husband Alfred Pineault of New Boston; and by many beloved nieces and nephews who adored their "Aunt Marie."
At Marie’s request, there will be no formal services. Her family and closest friends will honor her memory privately, as she wished.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the healthcare teams at Dartmouth Hitchcock and Elliot Hospital for their compassionate care and support throughout her journey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in honor of Marie’s strength and spirit.
