Marie Anna Waring

BRISTOL: Marie Anna (Petrie) Waring (80) beloved wife, mother and grandmother died Thursday, August 1, 2002. She was born in Beldune, Canada on February 26, 1922 was the daughter of John M. & Margaret A. (Arsenau) Petrie. Called Nana by all that loved her, she was a talented seamstress & craftsman of beautiful patchwork quilts, dolls and colonial style rag rugs. She also was an avid collector of coins, fine china and dolls. Mrs. Waring was predeceased by her husband of 59 ½ years Walter Edward Waring, her parents, 9 brothers and sisters and her granddaughter Christine Stedman. She is survived by her 9 children Walter J. Waring, Holliston, MA; Mrs. Louise M. Ravet, Alameda, CA; Mrs. Jeanne W. Reed, Merrimack, NH; Mrs. June Arsenault, Bristol, NH; Mrs. Lauri J. Perry, Webster, NH; Russell C. Waring, Manchester, NH; Mrs. Elizabeth M. Stedman, Bristol, NH; Charles F. Waring, Billerica, MA and James E. Waring, Bristol, NH; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Alexandria Methodist Church, Alexandria, NH on Monday, August 5, 2002 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bristol Fire Department, 71 Lake Street, Bristol, NH 03222 or The Alexandria Methodist Church c/o Rev. John Fischer, PO Box 37, Hebron, NH 03241. A memorial service is being arranged. The Cremation Society of New Hamsphire is in charge of arrangments.
