Marilyn Jean (Blohm) Bokhan, 86, of Salem, NH died peacefully Saturday January 29, 2022 after a period of failing health.
She was born on April 14, 1935 in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the late
Vincent and Cecil (Frost) Blohm. Marilyn was predeceased by her brother,
Roger Blohm, who died in 2014.
She met her husband, Victor, in Rochester, NY while she was working at the Kodak Corporation. Marilyn earned her bachelor's degree in History at the University of Connecticut. She played classical piano and enjoyed creating oil and acrylic paintings for most of her life.
She was an active member of the Salem Jr. and Sr. Women's Clubs, where she also served as secretary, vice president and president. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Salem, NH, where she also enjoyed singing in the choir.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Victor, and her two children, son Mark Bokhan and his wife Jill, daughter Anne Austin and her husband Edward; four grandchildren, Kristen Bokhan and fiance' Katie Drummonds, Nicholas Bokhan and wife Kelly, Heidi Austin and Julia Austin. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and a devoted wife for more than sixty years.
