Groveton, NH- Marilyn Ann Hannah, age 76, loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
Marilyn was born in Springfield, MA February 14, 1949, the daughter of the late John and Julia Wrobel; she was a resident of Groveton, NH for the past 20 years, having previously lived in West Springfield, MA. Marilyn worked at ABB for several years before retiring and moving to NH where she became an in-home care provider.
She loved her family fiercely and was so proud of her children. She also had a strong passion and love of horses and dogs. She was able to fulfill her dream and bought a small horse farm in West Springfield, MA before finally settling in Groveton, NH. It was there she became a member and secretary of the White Mountain Riding Club in Lancaster, NH. One of her favorite things was attending the Lancaster Fair and going to the horse shows with her sister Peg and friends.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her brothers, John Wrobel II (Cindy) & Fred Wrobel and her nephew, Robert (Bobby) Desautels. Marilyn is survived by her best friend & loving sister, Margaret (Peg) Desautels and her husband, Andre; her four children, who meant the world to her, John (Sandy) of Saco, ME, Ron (Kimberly) of Southwick, MA, Julie Somers (Al) of Monson, MA and Sandy Glennie of Palmer, MA; her seven grandchildren, whom she cherished, Connor, Tyler, and Victoria Hannah, Nicklaus and Hannah Somers, and Maggie and Gabriel Hannah; and her many nieces & nephews, that she thought the world of, and her former husband, Phillip G. Hannah, whom she remained friends with. Marilyn was known for her infectious laughter and hugs that will be missed by all that knew her.
ARRANGEMENTS: Services will be private and at the discretion of the family. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to your local animal shelter in her memory or just spending time with family and friends making happy memories.
