Marilyn J. Rumfelt

Marilyn Jane Rumfelt, 82, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 after a lengthy illness with her loving family by her side.

Marilyn was born in Manchester, NH, on February 12, 1939 to Arthur W. Cronin and Roba (Ford) Cronin. Marilyn was educated in the Manchester School system. In early years she worked as a Nurse’s Aide in several nursing homes. She later attended and graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s College enabling her to work in the insurance industry.

Marilyn’s marriages to John Ames and William Harriman produced five children. She finally found contentment and happiness when she married Lonnie Rumfelt. He introduced her to many veteran activities and she became a member of the Auxiliary of American Legion Post 79. They spent time together camping and exploring everything Mother Nature had to offer. They would study the plants and trees and aid any distressed animals which created lively discussions.

In her final years, she lived with her daughter Brenda and together with her great granddaughter Christen, she lived comfortably and was well taken care of. Great grandson, Tayler, was always by her side helping her in every way possible. She will be missed.

She is survived by her five children, Karen Tardif, Brookline, NH, John Ames, Jr., Biddeford, Me., Brenda Ames, Manchester, N.H., Brian Harriman, Allenstown, N.H., Cindy Cooper, Stillwater, Ok. and four siblings Patricia Kukulka, Vacaville, Ca., Catherine Felch, Hooksett, NH, James Cronin, Bedford, NH and Sandra Crabb, Oxford, Fl.
