Marisue Grube

Marisue Grube, 65, of Wells, Maine passed away on November 29, 2006.

She was born on August 19, 1941, in Nashua, NH, the daughter of Paul and Louise (Merrill) Mellin. She graduated from Mount St. Mary High School in 1959 and worked as a pharmacy technician for Hannaford Brothers Pharmacy. In addition, Marisue volunteered at the St. John’s Church soup kitchen, was a member of the Seacoast Repertory Theatre’s “Senior Moments” group, and her poetry was published in the Seacoast Newspapers’ Random Acts of Poetry Anthology 2004.

A resident of Nashua for the first 58 years of her life, Marisue moved to the Seacoast in 1999. She was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, William P. Grube, in 1993.

A devoted mother, grandmother and sister, Marisue personified the phrase, “To know her is to love her.” She cherished her family and the countless friends who surrounded her. Marisue met the challenges of life with grace, laughter and courage. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and helping others, but her true passion was her grandchildren, who were the central focus of her warm and generous heart. Marisue’s kind, nurturing soul will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Marisue is survived by three children: her son Peter Grube and his wife Carrie of Dover, NH, her son Dr. Danny Grube and his wife, Dr. Angela Grube of Sylva, NC, her daughter Nicole (Grube) Manchester and her husband Darin Manchester of Cornish, ME; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Susan Mellin of Greenland, NH, and Paul and Marie Mellin of Nashua, NH; and three grandchildren, Hannah Marie Manchester, William Peter Grube III and Samuel Peter Grube.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 1st at 2:30 pm at the Unitarian Universalistic Church, 58 Lowell Street in Nashua.

Memorial donations may be made to Lighthouse Foundation, c/o Beacon Hospice, 42 Brickyard Court, York, ME 03909 or to the charity of one’s choice.
