Marjorie E. Russell

Marjorie E. Russell of Dover NH passed away on March 7th, 2025, after a brief illness. In keeping with her wishes, no funeral services will be held.

To know Marjorie was a gift, to love and be loved by Margie was a blessing. Her entire life was that of service to others, it’s where she found the most joy. Marge helped countless people throughout her 78 years. She was a foster mother to 19 teenagers, a volunteer to many organizations but she was most proud of her time at AIDS Response. She retired young from New England Telephone but never led a life that was idle. Marge was an ordained minister; she held that title with pride as she mentored and guided people through their toughest times and performed wedding ceremonies celebrating their best times. Marge was a person that stayed by your side through all the darkness and light that you may travel through in this life.

Marge was also a lover of animals, especially cats, her most recent companions were Binx and Katie who Marge leaves behind but in the care of people that loved them as much as Marge did.

I cannot name all the people that Marge thought of as family, nor can I list all her family members. But as you read this, whether you spoke to Marge recently or if it has been some time since your last interaction, know she loved you and everyone with everything she had regardless of the space and time between you. Marge was an amazing friend. Please honor Marge by taking a moment and thinking about the times she has touched your life and finding ways to pay that forward in yours.

Marge was predeceased by her parents William and Margaret Russell, Aunts and Uncle as well as many relatives that loved her dearly.

Marjorie E. Russell, you will be missed but grateful your spirit is set free and may we all encompass the passion and empathy that you brought to the world.
