Marjorie Medding, 96, of Center Tuftonboro died April 2, 2007 at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro following a period of declining health. Mrs. Medding was born on March 30, 1911 in Boston, MA the daughter of Herman A. and Lille Belle (Potter) Perkins. She grew up in Medford, MA where she attended local schools. During World War II, she was a civilian employee of the Navy. Mrs. Medding was a member of the Melvin Village Community Church and member of the local hikers club. She enjoyed knitting and needlework and was an avid reader of historical biographies. Her husband, Walter H. Medding who died in 1995, predeceased her. Family members include; one daughter, Susan and her husband, David Van Hoewyk of Bolton, CT; three grandchildren, Douglas and his wife, Abby Van Hoewyk of Fort Collins, CO, Karen Van Hoewyk of Arlington, VA and Andrew Van Hoewyk of Bolton, CT; one great grandson, Toby Van Hoewyk of Fort Collins, CO. There will be a Memorial Service on Sunday, June 24th at 3:00 PM at the Melvin Village Community Church in Melvin Village, NH. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.
