Mark Lovell, 62
Brother, Friend, and Fighter
Mark passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of those closest to him.
Mark was born on April 12, 1963 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Jim and Sharon Lovell. Throughout his early life, Mark lived in Minnesota, Montana, and Wisconsin. After graduating from Spooner High School (WI), Mark entered the Army and was stationed in Germany, where he trained as a combat medic attached to the 16th Engineers. Mark was very proud of his service. After leaving the Army, he returned to Wisconsin. Mark most recently made his home in Hinsdale, New Hampshire.
Mark had worked as a DJ and bartender, as a mover for North American Van Lines, and in assembly and custodial services at Cardinal Glass. Mark studied to become a substance abuse counselor, earning an Associates degree in 2014.
Wherever Mark called home, he left behind a trail of memories and friendships in each place. He had a deep love for the outdoors and found peace in nature, whether it was walking in the woods or simply spending time outside. One of his greatest joys in life was the companionship of his loyal dogs, Prince, and Buttercup who were always by his side.
Mark is survived by his former wife and forever best friend, Dayna Lovell, who remained a constant source of love and support. He is also survived by his sisters Kathy Aspenwall (Jeff), Barb Lovell, Julie Paavola (Joe), and Jami Brackeen; his stepchildren, step grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dan Lovell.
Mark's life was marked by quiet resilience, a generous spirit, and deep love for those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who call him brother or friend.
