Mark A. Parris, 44, of Penacook died Friday, February 24, 2006 as a result of a skiing accident. Mark was born on June 7, 1961 in Stoneham, MA the son of Joseph and Angela (Rousseve) Parris. He grew up in Henniker, NH. As a young man, Mark apprenticed as a mason and later mastered the art of stone masonry, and hardscape landscaping, which groomed him for his future career as a granite carver. He was able to transform his craft into a successful business, Parris Creative Design, which he has been operating in Penacook for the past three years. Although an accomplished businessman, Marks true passion was outdoor sports. He was an avid cyclist and advanced expert skier. A well known racer in the local ski community, you could always find Mark at Pats Peak on Wednesday nights, race night. His zest for life manifested onto the slopes where he was loved and respected by his fellow athletes. He worked at Pats Peak in many capacities including head snowmaker, and more recently, as a technician at S & W Sport Shop in Concord. A loving husband, son, brother and uncle, he will be missed dearly. His enthusiasm and appreciation for life will live on in the memories of his close-knit family and friends. Family members include; his wife, Dawn (Osborne) Parris; his parents of Henniker; a brother, Joseph Parris, Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Henniker; a sister, Renee Parris Brown and her husband, Robert Brown of Stoneham, MA; his nephew, Robbie and niece, Elise.
