Marlene M. Heinmiller

Marlene M. Heinmiller, 83, of Pembroke, NH, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, following a short battle with pneumonia.

Marlene was born in Buffalo, NY, July 13, 1938 to Henry and Elizabeth Kuske. She is survived by her husband, Richard, of 50 years; her daughter, Jill (Joe) Stagner, her son, Mark (partner, Kathy) Munzert, granddaughters Mia and Meagan, grandsons Ryan, Erik and Max. She is also survived by her sister, Lore McMullen, nieces, a nephew, grandnieces and grandnephews, and countless friends from all over the country.

Family and friends were her world. She was an unbelievably giving mother and grandmother who was known to be endlessly generous with her time and talents. She loved to cook and bake. Her signature chocolate chip cookies were always on hand! Her sewing talents were enjoyed by numerous brides for whom she made gowns and bridesmaids dresses.

She worked many years in the dental field as an office manager. First, for orthodontists in Buffalo, and then for over 35 years for endodontists in Syracuse. She was the heart of the office and her endearing smile made patients feel welcome.

Her home of 34 years on Crooked Lake in Tully, NY was always open and was the gathering place for many poolside parties and picnics. She moved to NH three years ago to be close to her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters. While not at home, she was traveling the world with Richard. Her favorite holiday was Christmas which she started planning for in July and baking German cookie recipes passed down from her mother.

Her friendships ran deep and wide, still meeting annually with her Kappa Sigma Delta sorority sisters from high school; lunches and shopping trips with her girls from Tully and Syracuse, and frequent phone calls to always stay in touch.

In true Marlene fashion, she toasted with Richard, one last martini with olives before passing peacefully.

Per her wishes, a celebratory picnic will be held this summer for family.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marlene's name to Pope Memorial SPCA of Concord, 94 Silk Farm Rd, Concord, NH 03301.
