Marlene A. Moore

Marlene A. Moore, of Derry, NH, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023, at the age of 70 after a long-term illness. Her long-time partner, Greg Pegram was by her side.

Marlene graduated from Alvirne High school in Hudson, NH and received her BS in Animal Science from UNH in Durham, NH.

Marlene pursued her love of animals by beginning her career as an assistant to the race horse trainers at Rockingham Park. She later transitioned to a career as a veterinarian technician at several local animal hospitals. 

Along with horses, Marlene’s deepest passion was raising pharaoh hounds and traveling near and far to participate in dog shows and other related activities such as lure coursing and barn hunt. Her dogs won countless ribbons and trophies. These were a pride and joy to her.

Marlene was a very kind and loving person who was always there to help out a friend or animal in need.

Marlene is predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Henrietta Moore. She is survived by her significant other, Greg Pegram, her brother and sister-in-law Ken and Karen Moore, and her two nephews, Travis and Justin Moore. She also leaves behind many cousins and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, September 30th from 2-4PM at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. Family and friends are invited to attend.
