Marshall W. Doxsee of Keene, NH passed away on September 21, 2007 after a period of failing health. He was born in Berlin, NH November 21, 1917 son of Arthur T. and Lillian (Anderson) Doxsee. He is survived by his wife Margaret N. of 34 years; his daughter Karen Whitman of Sextons River, VT; his sons Martin R. of Anchorage, AK and Marshall J of Oregon; his granddaughters Samantha Whitman of Tucson, AZ and Whitney D. Doxsee of Anchorage, AK; his grandsons Trevor Doxsee of Anchorage, AK and Ryder Doxsee of Kenai, AK. He is predeceased by his son Adrian and former wife Dorothy Doxsee. Marshall entered the US Air Force during WWII. He was a bomber pilot in the European Theater and flew 45 missions in a B-26 Marauder with the 320th Bomb Grp 442nd Squadron. He was discharged with the rank of Captain. He was a 32nd degree Mason and belonged to many organizations including the Cheshire Shrine Club. While he and his wife lived in Anchorage, AK, for 23 years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and flying his Cessna 180 on floats with his beloved black lab Crystal. Burial will be private.
