Martha M. Doane

Martha M.. Doane, 78, of Dover died June 6, 2004 at Wentworth Douglas Hospital following a period of declining health. Ms. Doane was born on September 6, 1925 in Colchester, New York the daughter of the late William and Sarah (Barry) Ernie. She was a U S Army veteran who served during World War II. She worked at Servotron in South Berwick, Maine for 10 years. Ms. Doane enjoyed crafts, knitting and crocheting and was also an avid reader. She was a lifetime member of the New Hampshire Aquarium Society. Family members include; two sons, Russell Doane and Barry Doane, both of Rochester; two daughters, Darlene Bean of Sanbornville and Brenda Leigh of Colorado Springs, CO; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one brother, Clifford Ernie of South Berwick, ME; one sister, Mary Griffin of Dover; and several niece and nephews. Services will be held at a later date.
