Martin R. Simpson

Martin R. Simpson, 68, of 16 Isaac Perkins Road in Lyme died on February 23, 2002 at home after a brief bout with cancer. Mr. Simpson was born on May 13, 1933 in Mount Vernon, New York the son of the late Arthur and Alice (McIlory) Simpson. He was a US Army Veteran. He worked for Union Carbide in New York City and retired in 1991. He and his wife relocated to Lyme in the mid 1990's. Family members include; his wife of 39 years, Eleanor (Trabert) Simpson; three sons, Mark Simpson of Center Ossipee, NH, Gary Simpson of Minneapolis, Minnesota and David Simpson of Silver Springs, Maryland; two grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Haman of Whiting, New Jersey. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, March 2nd at 11:00 AM at the Lyme Congregational Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Lyme Congregational Church or Lyme Boy Scouts of America Troop 273.
