Mary Jean (Garrity) Gauthier, 92, died April 24, 2021 after a period of declining health.
Mary was born on October 29, 1928 in Hanover, NH. She was the daughter of the late Laura (Riley) and Lawrence Garrity.
Mary was raised in Hanover, NH and graduated from Hanover High School. Mary married Alfred Gauthier on October 6, 1951. Mary previously resided in New Boston and Francestown, NH.
Mary is survived by her five children, Deborah (Gauthier) Raymond of Manchester, NH; Michael Gauthier of Albion, ME; Corinne (Gauthier) Hodel and her husband Robert of Portland, OR; David and his wife Elizabeth Devlin of New Salem, MA; and her daughter Melissa (Gauthier) Dishong and her husband Edward of Francestown, NH. She is also survived by her brother, Peter Garrity of Rye, NH and Carol (Garrity) Abbott. Mary was the proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren and the great-grandmother of 8. She was the aunt to a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Alfred, and her brothers James, Lawrence (Sookie), and Robert.
Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
