Mary Jean McDonald

Mary Jean McDonald, lovingly known as Jean, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, in Boscawen, New Hampshire. She entered into the glory of God with her Lord, Jesus Christ, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 3, 1949, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts at Burbank Hospital, the beautiful daughter of Lorraine and Lawrence Gonynor.

Jean's journey through life was one filled with compassion and dedication. She attended Saint Bernard's High School in Fitchburg later graduated from Burbank Hospital Nursing School in the late 1960s as a LPN. For approximately seven years, she resided in Fitchburg before settling in southern New Hampshire for the remainder of her days, with a brief stint in Florida.

Throughout her career, Jean worked tirelessly as a nurse in various nursing homes until 1980 when she experienced a profound transformation alongside her husband Dennis. They welcomed Jesus Christ into their hearts, leading them to pursue a life devoted to spreading the Gospel. Jean emerged as a remarkable minister, blessed by the Holy Spirit, and dedicated much of her time to prayer and fellowship.

In addition to her unwavering faith and professional accomplishments, Jean cherished her family above all else. She married Dennis on August 16th, 1969, and together they welcomed three beautiful daughters into this world: Melanie Steenbeke, Stacey Mahoney, and Jill Crammer. Their love knew no bounds as they raised not only their own children but also nurtured nine wonderful grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Mary is also survived by her siblings Linda, Larry, Mary, Tommy, and Nancy who will forever hold her memory dear in their hearts. Her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

As we bid farewell to Mary Jean McDonald in this earthly realm, we take solace in the knowledge that she was welcomed with 'well done, thou good and faithful servant' and now rests peacefully in the arms of her Savior.

To God be all the Glory.

May her spirit soar amongst the angels as she watches over her beloved family from above.
