Mary F. Monahan, 62, of 34 Joppa Road, Merrimack died on July 30, 2000 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law after a brief illness. Mrs. Monahan was born on March 7, 1938 in Boston, MA the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Flynn) Walker. Prior to making her home in Nashua she lived in Anchorage, Alaska where she raised her family for over 20 years. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed researching her ancestry and was fascinated by the Indian culture in which she traced her roots back to. Family members include; three sons, Richard (Patricia) Monahan, Jr. of Palmer, Alaska, Kenneth Monahan of Hooksett and William (Lindsey) Monahan of Merrimack; five grandchildren; one brother, John Walker of Italy; one sister Mrs. Clarence (Rita) Stanford of Florida; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and her companion, Thomas Kilduff. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard W. Monahan in 1992 and her son Thomas Monahan in 1986. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2000 at 12:00 at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire Chapel (an affiliate of Phaneuf Funeral Home), 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH.
