Mary "Nancy" Pothier, 95, of Center Barnstead, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17 at the Concord Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family after residing at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Concord, NH.
Born in Woburn, MA, she is the daughter of the late Philip and Josephine (Meluso) Nett. In 1946, she married the love of her life, the late Joseph R. Pothier. While raising a family, the couple moved to several Massachusetts cities, the last being Lexington, MA. For many years, Nancy worked as a floral designer at Lexington Gardens and as a substitute teacher in Burlington, MA. Following retirement, Joseph and Nancy moved to Center Barnstead, NH.
A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Nancy took great pride in raising her children and caring for her family. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, and cooking.
Nancy is survived by her three sons, Richard P. Pothier and Darlene of East Brookfield, MA, Joseph F. Pothier and Donna of Center Barnstead, NH and John D. Pothier and Donna of Billerica, MA; one sister, Christina Tilton, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Joseph R. Pothier; three brothers, Dominic, Joseph and John; and three sisters, Ann, Louise and Rose.
