Mathew Maynard Ham, born April 21, 1977, in Concord, New Hampshire, passed away on October 5, 2026. Born to the late James Ham and Dawn (Richardson) Flanders, Mathew was raised and educated in New Hampshire and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Mathew worked as a roofer for many years, a trade that suited his hands-on nature. He was someone who enjoyed keeping busy, working with his hands, and finding ways to help those around him.
For the past three years, Mathew spent half of each year at Keyser Pond Campground, where he worked in maintenance. It was there that he met his fiancée, Constance “Connie” Magan. The two shared three years of companionship, building cherished memories together.
Mathew had a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing, chopping wood, and making walking sticks. He took pride in sharing his knowledge and skills with others. One of his favorite things was teaching children at the campground outdoor skills. Always willing to lend a hand, Mathew made a difference through his generosity, practical skills, and willingness to help others.
One of Mathew’s proudest personal accomplishments was achieving sobriety. This achievement was an important part of his life and a testament to his strength, determination, and commitment to making positive changes.
Mathew is survived by his fiancée, Connie Magan of Concord, NH; his brother, Jim Ham of North Dakota; his aunt, Audrey Bentley of Salisbury, NH; as well as numerous friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 23 at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 172 King Street, Boscawen, NH. Guests are invited to a Gathering in remembrance of Mathew from 7PM-8PM with a Memorial Service beginning at 8PM.
