Maureen Ann Dean (McNeely) Maureen Ann Dean (McNeely), age 63, passed away October 20, 2007, at her home in Northwood NH following a year long treatment program to mitigate the progression of lung and brain cancers. George, her loving husband of 38 years was at her side. Maureen was born in Rochester NY on June 1st 1944 to parents Jesse F. and Dorothy M. McNeely (White). Her father predeceased her on September 20th 1968. In 1967, after college, Maureen left her home in Spencerport New York and went to New York City to gain employment in the retail industry. Soon after her arrival there she began to work for Lord and Taylor Specialty Stores, and progressed in this organization to attain the position of Divisional Vice President, Customer Services. In 1989 she left Lord & Taylor to join Citicorp Retail Services, Melville New York as a Vice President of Client Relations and remained there until 1994 when she left with her husband to take up residence in Northwood New Hampshire. For the last six years Maureen had been employed by the City of Concord NH in the Customer Relations Department of the city’s General Services, Water Division. Favorite amongst her many interests were flower and vegetable gardening, sewing, rug hooking, cooking, art and most recently, with her husband, beekeeping. Maureen is survived by, her beloved mother Dorothy M. McNeely of Kerrville Texas; sister Nancy M. Norton and brother-in-law Richard, also of Kerrville. Her memory is lovingly kept by sisters-in-law Barbara Elaine Dean of Detroit Michigan, Laurie Eleanor Mead of Palm Beach Florida, and Marianne Prustajko of Silverwood Michigan. She will be deeply missed by nieces Laura Ann Norton of Philadelphia Pennsylvania and Lisa May Palicios of San Antonio Texas and by her many aunts, uncles and cousins. A Service of Rememberance will be held on November 3rd 2007 at 11:am at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester NH Donations in lieu of flowers in Maureen’s name can be made to: Seacoast Cancer Center, Wentworth Douglas Hospital, 789 Central Avenue, Dover NH 03820 or the Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Road, Exeter NH 03833.
