With deep sorrow and heartfelt love, we announce that Maureen Elizabeth Bruce, passed peacefully surrounded by family on September 15, 2025, at the age of 80.

Maureen was born on March 15, 1945, in Belfast, Ireland, to Maurice and Rebecca (Stevenson) Bruce. In 1948, at the age of three, she came to America aboard the Queen Elizabeth II, beginning a new chapter that would shape a beautiful life. She graduated from Revere High School in 1963.

She was the heart and soul of her family — a devoted mother, proud grandmother, and deeply cherished great-grandmother. Her gentle spirit, warm heart, and loud laughter left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her loving husband John “Charlie” Potero and her parents, Maurice and Rebecca Bruce.

Maureen is survived by her loving children: James Neal of Epping, Jeffrey Neal and his wife, Julie of Salem, NH, and Jennifer Scoledge and her husband, Rob of Weare, NH.

She was a proud grandmother to Devyn Neal and his wife Bianca, Dilyn Neal and his fiancée Brianna, Liam and Rebecca Scoledge. Her legacy continues through her two adored great-grandchildren, Bennett and Elianna Neal.

Maureen is also survived by her brother, Maurice Bruce, Jr.

SERVICES: A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, 10am at the New Pine Grove cemetery in Raymond, NH. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories and honor the remarkable woman she was.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Granite VNA, 30 Pillsbury Street, Concord, NH, 03301, in memory of Maureen.

Though we mourn her loss, we celebrate her life. Rest peacefully, Maureen.
