Richard Blais DOVER ; M. Richard Blais, 76, passed away on Jan. 14, 2008, following a period of failing health, at the N.H. Veterans Home in Tilton, N.H., with family members and caregivers by his side. He was born in Amesbury, Mass., on June 5, 1931, he was the son of Maurice and Lena (Grenier) Blais of Dover. He was a basketball star at Dover High School and graduated in 1949. He earned an engineering degree from the University of New Hampshire. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He lived most of his life in the Seacoast area. He founded Multi-Core Technology, from which he retired several years ago. He was a beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather. He enjoyed golfing, outdoor activities and renovating houses with his wife. He loved to laugh, tell stories and always had a smile, even during his failing health. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Janet (Kempton) Blais; two daughters, Pamela Blais Lavallee and her husband, Bill Lavallee of Tenants Harbor, Maine, Kimberley Martinen of Blasdell, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Matthew, Zachery and Jessica Martinen of Blasdell, N.Y.; two brothers, Gerald Blais of Santa Monica, Calif., and Paul Blais and his wife, Pat Hannigan of Newcastle, Maine; two sisters, Estelle Lewis and her husband, Charles, of Dover and Paulette Blais Sirois and her husband, Rick Sirois of Dover, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He left this world a better place and will be missed. In accordance with his wishes, there are no services.
