Maurice (Beaver) G. Boisvert 91 of Bedford, NH passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 14, 2022 at Bedford Falls Assisted Living in Bedford, NH. He was born on April 19th, 1931 in Manchester, NH; the third of nine children born to Albert and Clorida (Bourassa) Boisvert.
He was a lifelong resident of Manchester, NH, attending St. John the Baptist Grammar School and graduating from Manchester West High School in 1950. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. He married Irene G. Goudreau in 1952, and raised two children. They were married for 68 years, until her passing in 2021.
Maurice spent his working career as an auto mechanic at Kelley Street Garage, the family business. After twenty-two years as a staff mechanic and then foreman, he began a twenty-nine-year period as owner/partner of the garage in 1969 with his brother, Richard, until retirement in 1993. His retirement years were occupied by several part-time jobs, many trips and home activities. He enjoyed motorcycles, country music and was always eager to try something new.
He is survived by his son, Denis Boisvert and his wife Janet of Litchfield; four grandchildren: Tracy Colbroth, Shawn Boisvert, Bryan Rouleau and Jason Rouleau; seven great-grandchildren: Lauren and Evan Mendonca; Kaylee, Trevor, Jaxon and Lexie Rouleau; Chloe Boisvert; and four brothers: Raymond, Richard, Robert and Gerard Boisvert.
He is pre-deceased by his wife, Irene; daughter Arleen Rouleau and her husband Steven; and his four sisters: Doris Leavitt, Lillian Goudreau, Laurette Beaulieu and Lucille Corriveau.
A memorial service will be scheduled for Thursday, June 23rd at 10:00 AM at Ste. Marie Roman Catholic Church at 378 Notre Dame Ave, Manchester, NH 03102. He will be laid to rest at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery immediately afterwards.
