Maurice Woodward Mecham

Maurice W. Mecham, 67, of Whitefield died September 7, 2004 at the VA Hospital in White River Junction, Vermont. Maurice was born on April 17, 1937 in Keene the son of the late Ivan and Rachel (Woodward) Mecham. He was a US Army veteran who served in the 4th Division in Vietnam. After becoming disabled in the war he returned home to Keene. A gifted photographer and artist, Maurice was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening, bird watching and wildlife. He had a great interest in researching American Archeological sites. He drove a cab for Yellow Taxi pf Springfield, MA for the last few years. Family members include; his wife of three years, Marita LeClair Mecham; two sisters, Martha (Mecham) Pappas of Las Vegas, Nevada and Jean (Mecham) Baker of Knoxville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private.
