Merilyn Ruth (O'Flaherty) Lambert, 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Lebanon, NH. She was born on June 25, 1943 in Cambridge, MA, the daughter of the late Thomas E. O'Flaherty Sr. and the late Esther O'Flaherty. Merilyn was raised in Medford, MA and graduated from Medford High School in 1961.
Merilyn attended Dean College and graduated with her Associate's Degree in 1963. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at Harris Corporation and Batesville Casket Company before retiring in 1993. Merilyn was an active member of her church and town community for many years while residing in Merrimack, NH. She was a loving mother to her three children. Later in life, she moved to Tilton, NH where she lived independently up until the time of her passing. In retirement, Merilyn enjoyed spending time with friends and family, reading, volunteering, and following the local sports teams. She was a supportive and caring woman with a great sense of humor and a huge heart. Merilyn was also a devoted animal lover, and cat mother.
Merilyn will be remembered by her brother, Thomas E. O'Flaherty Jr.; her three children, Heather McKenna, David Lambert, and Joel Lambert; her three grandchildren, Dylan McKenna, Madison Lamprey, and Marlaina Lambert-Frankel, her two great-grandchildren, Weston Perkins, and Bryson McKenna, and many extended family members and friends.
Family and friends of Merilyn are kindly invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11:00am at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, 91 Pine St., Laconia, NH 03246.
