Merrill "Jack" Teulon, 92, of Manchester, died October 16, 2007.

He was born April 22, 1915 to James Bernard and Edith F. Teulon. He graduated from Concord High School in 1932 and Dartmouth College with the class of 1936. While at Dartmouth he was a member of Kappa, Kappa, Kappa Fraternity as well as the varsity ski and track teams.

Mr. Teulon had a very successful career with the State of New Hampshire as Assistant Industrial Director from 1945 - 1947 and Industrial Director of State Planning and Development Commission from 1947 - 1952.

He became Industrial Agent for the City of Manchester in 1952 until his retirement in 1981.

During his career of forty plus years in the field of industrial development he served as President of NH Association of Industrial Agents, Member of Governor Walter Peterson's Citizens Task Force; member of Industrial Advisory Board of NH State Planning and Development & Commission; member of Mayor Benoit's Citizens Advisor Committee on Urban Renewal; member of Board of Directors of Northeastern Industrial Developers Association; recipient of the "Man of the Year" award (1974) from Northeastern Industrial Developers Association. Recipient of three awards for excellence in industrial development from Mayor Dupuis, Mayor Stanton and members of the Manchester Industrial Council. Recipient of honorary life memberships in the American Economics Development Council, Northeastern Industrial Developers Association and the NH Association of Industrial Agents.

He served to advise six New Hampshire governors and six Manchester mayors in promoting the industrial welfare of the state of New Hampshire and the city of Manchester. He assisted in the successful establishment of such promotional and financing vehicles as the NH Business Development Corporation and the NH Industrial Park Authority together with many community development corporations such as the Greater Manchester Regional Industrial Foundation and the Suncook Charitable Foundation.

Jack enjoyed many summers at York Beach, Maine with his wife, Margery who he married in 1936. He spent winters skiing until the age of 82.

The family includes; 2 daughters, Suzanne Spaulding of Laconia; Sherry Edson, of Brookline, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Margery in 2006 and a daughter Sandra Monti in 2003.

IN HIS LIFE: In addition to his family, he leaves his long time friend and skiing buddy, Art Hartnett, Jr. of Manchester.

There are no calling hours. A private family service is planned for a later date. Burial will take place in the Blossom Hill Cemetery, in Concord.

Memorial donations may be made, in his memory, to the Resident Activity Fund at St. Teresa's Healthcare Center, 519 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH 03104.

The Cremation Society of New Hampshire assisted the family with arrangements.
