Michael Bergeron

Michael J. Bergeron, 63, of Litchfield, Maine, formerly of Dunbarton, NH, passed away peacefully with his loving wife, Carey, at his side following a four and a half year battle with Glioblastoma.

Born in Manchester, he is the son of Roger and Beverly Bergeron. Raised and educated in Londonderry, he was a graduate of Londonderry High School. For several years, Michael worked for Hutter Construction before founding his own company. Michael owned and operated G&B Foundations, Inc. for over 21 years. Throughout New Hampshire, Michael and his company laid the groundwork for numerous homes and businesses. The couple retired to Litchfield, Maine in 2020, to build their dream home in the woods.

Michael served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. In the service, Michael enjoyed seeing the world and experiencing other cultures while stationed in Japan, Hawaii, Australia, and more.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, Michael cherished time spent with family and friends. Michael and Carey enjoyed hosting countless backyard cookouts, family holidays, and bonfires at their home in Dunbarton. Affectionately known as “My Mike”, Michael cherished time spent with his two grandsons. An avid outdoorsman, Michael found solace and enjoyment in the outdoors in all seasons, boating in Maine lakes, riding ATVs, snowmobiling, playing golf, gardening, and going on walks with Carey and their late dog, Cocoa. If not outside, he could be found in the garage, tinkering on projects. Watching a Hallmark movie snuggled up with Carey was a guilty pleasure. Revin, their late cat, brought Michael great comfort during his illness, always curling up close and purring. Michael will be best remembered for his genuine heart and dedication to all people and pursuits in his life. He was a kind and gentle soul who welcomed all with his brilliant smile and bright blue eyes. Michael will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Carey Bergeron; son, Shawn Bergeron; step-son, Stephen Braswell and fiancée Willow Finley; grandsons, Alexander and Kingston; two brothers, Timmy Bergeron and significant other Karen Milan, and Roger Bergeron and fiancée Donna Howarth; three sisters, Kathy Constantine and husband Jim, Aileen Mullett and husband Kenny, and Sue Shutt and husband Tom; father-in-law, Wayne Cunan; two sisters-in-law, Kristin Chouinard and husband Michael, and Sheri Cunan and fiancé Michael Roberge; brother-in-law, Justin Cunan; and extended family and friends.
