Michael Timothy
Dobens
December 23, 1965 – May 10, 2026
Michael Timothy Dobens, 60, of Hudson, passed away following a period of declining health. Born on December 23, 1965, he was the beloved son of the late Charles and Bonita (Guay) Dobens. Michael spent the majority of his life in Nashua, where he built lifelong friendships and countless memories with family and loved ones.
As a child and young man, Michael was active in the Boy Scouts, proudly played Little League baseball on a team known as “Social Club,” and was well known in the neighborhood as the local paper boy. From an early age, he developed a strong work ethic and determination that would remain with him throughout his life.
Michael began his career with Drew Construction, where he developed valuable skills in concrete work, drywall installation, metal stud framing, acoustical ceilings, and carpentry. He later worked for Vachon Drywall before becoming a self-employed independent contractor, applying his craftsmanship throughout the tri-state area. He took pride in his work and was known for his dedication, reliability, and willingness to help others.
Prior to a life-altering accident that left him blind, Michael enjoyed skiing, camping, boating, snowmobiling, fishing, and creating lasting memories with his family. Although his life was marked by hardship, Michael faced every challenge with remarkable resilience and perseverance. His determination and enduring sense of humor allowed him to continue forward, always carrying a smile and finding strength through adversity.
Following his accident, Michael remained closely connected with friends and family. He enjoyed going out to eat, spending time outdoors, and embracing his Christian faith, which brought him comfort and peace throughout the years.
Michael is survived by his three children: Catherine (Dobens) Jackson of Trinity, Texas, Keith Dobens of Manchester, and Julia Dobens of Middlebury, Vermont; his brother, Kevin Dobens of New York; his sister, Sherri (Dobens) Nydam and her husband Dennis of Nashua; and his three beloved grandchildren, Adrianna, John, and Arya. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will cherish his memory. Michael will be remembered for his hard work, resilience, perseverance, unwavering strength, and above all, his deep love for his family.
