Michael Edgar Duffy, 66, died on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at his home in Canterbury, New Hampshire. He was born on Janaury 25, 1951 in Kittery, Maine, the son of Irene (Morrisette) Duffy and the late Thomas Duffy.
He was the husband of Fayleen (York) Duffy. They were married on April 8, 1989 in Plymouth, New Hampshire.
Michael was a loving husband who enjoyed most working on and around the property with his love Fayleen. He was extremely hard working, but always a caring and giving husband and grandfather. He was a kid at heart and was loved most by his many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mike loved to travel and talk about traveling. One of his favorite things to do each year was to take Fayleen and walk the Marginal Way up in ME.
He obtained his Associates Degree from McIntosh College and served in U.S. Army at Ft Dix. Michael was employed by Tremco for the past twelve years. Prior to that he worked for International Paper, Spartan Chemical and was and independent timber contractor.
In his free time Michael enjoyed karate, fishing, gardening, reading, gaming, spending time with his grandchildren, golfing, and was always working on special projects around their beautiful Canterbury home and property.
Along with his wife of nearly 28 years, Fayleen, he is survived by his mother, Irene (Morrisette) Duffy; three step-daughters, Lori (Filion) Morrison, Jill (Filion) Mentzer, and Wendy (Filion) Chichester; step-son, Scott Filion; seven sisters and three brothers-in-law, Anne Marie Duffy, Linda Duffy, Joan (Duffy) Anderson, Karen Duffy, Tina (Duffy) and husband Mark Sipple, Rita (Duffy) and husband Joe Wilson, Elaine (Duffy) and husband Jon Hayden; six brothers and three sisters-in-law, Tom Duffy, Vincent Duffy, Paul Duffy, Joe Duffy and wife Kim, and John Duffy and wife Flora and Dennis Duffy and wife Camille; as well as several nieces and nephews and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
SERVICES: In observance of Mike's wishes, we will hold a Celebration of Life to remember at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at The Duffy Residence â 187 Morrill Road in Canterbury, New Hampshire. Friends and Family are encouraged to bring along a favorite memory to share. We'll have our standard Fourth of July BBQ & outdoor festivities.
