George Michael Cassidy devoted husband and father passed away February 22nd, 2026.He passed away at home peacefully after his battle with cancer. He was born in Coal Grove, OH on September 5th, 1940 to George A Cassidy and Edna Mae Anderson.

He graduated high school in 1958 and enlisted in the Army. He attended the Army’s Basic Electronic School located in Fort Monmouth, NJ, and advanced school on the NIKE Guided Missel Radar and Computer Systems Repair at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL where he met his beloved wife Betty Faye Worley. They were married on July 10th, 1959 in Huntsville, AL and have been married for 65 years. Mike and Betty traveled the world. From NH where he worked for Sanders and Associates, a defense contractor in Nashua, NH. Then he was on his way to Whidbey Island, WA where he started his new job with NAESU. He was an Aviation Engineer. He and family went to Iwakuni Japan in 1976. Then to Agana Guam until 1982 then to Rota Spain. After returning stateside he settled in Indiana for a while then off to Mt Pleasant, SC.

He finally retired from NAESU. He then settled in Lake Alfred, FL. He lived with his son Michael the last 2 years in Nashua, NH. He loved his family and friends. He was a member of the Shriners, Master Mason, American Legion, and a life member of the Auxiliary and former Captain of the Honor Guard at the VFW #4289 in Winter Haven, FL.

He survived by 4 children. Sharon (Vern) LeBlanc, Daron Cassidy, Karon (Ed) Courtney and Michael Cassidy. He has 7 grandchildren, Brandon, Randy, Grant and Danielle LeBlanc, Amanda (Nate) Speciale, Courtney (Cecily) Cassidy and Michael (Tim) Cassidy. He also has 4 great grandchildren. He also, left behind a brother John Patrick Cassidy and a sister Diane Green.

He will be so greatly missed. We loved him very much. He was also proceeded in death of his son Daron Cassidy, June 3rd, 2023.

He will be interned at NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. Date to be determined.
