Michael Korek, JR, peacefully passed away on April 15, 2026. Born on October 13, 1949, in Passaic, NJ, Michael spent his early years in New Jersey growing up in Ridgewood, where he graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1967. He continued his education at the University of Maine, earning a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Resource Economics in 1971.

After graduation, Michael returned to New Jersey briefly before relocating to New Hampshire, eventually settling in Goffstown. He later moved to New Boston, where he resided since 2004. Michael is survived by his children Sarah, Becky, Samantha, and Michael, and their spouses. He is also survived by his older sister Suzie and her husband Bruce, nine grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Michael's passions included running, boating, and raising and caring for exotic birds. He was an avid animal lover, especially devoted to his three dogs, Gilbert, Sullivan, and Winston, who brought him immense joy in his life. He also enjoyed good food, lounging in his pool, and reading history books especially about the civil war.
