Michael "Mike" Allyn LaCroix Sr.

Michael “Mike” Allyn LaCroix Sr. passed away on Sunday January 16, 2022, at age 77 at his home in Hudson, NH. He was born on June 9, 1944, in Norway, Maine. He was the son of Armand LaCroix and Barbara LaCroix (Carroll).

Mike worked in Boston for Café Enterprises for over 30 years tending to the facilities and construction needs of multiple bars and restaurants all while feeding quarters into parking meters and getting many parking tickets for parking his beloved Ford truck in alleys and side streets.

While living on Cobbetts Pond in Windham, NH he would often be seen putting around on or fishing from his pontoon boat. He enjoyed striper fishing and fishing at Silver Lake in Bucksport, Maine. Mike was also an avid hunter, most of his hunts taking place in Castine and Orland, Maine, although his elk antlers which can be seen mounted above his garage doors are from a hunt in Canada. When not in the outdoors, he would tend to one of his woodworking or home improvement projects that he always had going on in his shop or garage.

Mike will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Evelyn LaCroix (Billcliff); their three children, Michael Jr. and his wife Nicole, Michelle and her husband Rob, and Mark and his wife Susan; his grandchildren, Michael III, Brian, Bailey, Steven, Alex, and Emily. He will also be dearly missed by many wonderful other family and friends including his sister, Suzanne, and brother-in-law Richard Lind; nephew, James Billcliff; and best friend, Dennis Piscapo.

The family has made the difficult decision to only have a small service for immediate family members.

Those who wish may make a memorial contribution, please contribute to the animal rescue Mike’s granddaughter, Bailey, volunteers for - Live Free Animal Rescue, Pelham, NH. https://www.livefreerescue.com/

Assisting with arrangements is the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, Manchester.
