Michael P. Mailhot

Michael “Mikey“ Mailhot passed away on 9/15/21 in loving care at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack. NH. He was born on December 27th, 1954 in Lowell Massachusetts, and spent the last 40 years in the southern NH area. He worked primarily in the Restaurant/Food and Beverage industry, and happily retired from the Hillsborough Nursing Home, making lifelong friendships along the way. Mike was a Proud Father to Kimberly and could not have been more excited to become Grandpa to Mia and Thomas.
Mike lived life to the fullest, chock full of exciting and memorable moments. For a man “Large in Stature”, Mikey was a Fantastic Athlete, and extremely competitive in any challenge he faced!! Whether it was Softball, Golf, Cribbage, TUK, Horseshoes, Cornhole, Pool, or a Serious Game of Darts, Mikey wanted to play well and Win!! He was a wonderful teammate and a fabulous guy to have on your side!! Lord, please help him save his BELOVED Red Sox and Patriots when the game is on the line!!
To all the people reading this who did not know Mikey, you missed out on being associated with one Beautiful, unique Human Being!! Those of us who knew him would argue this last statement was NOT always TRUE (Just Kidding Mikey). This should NOT read as a Proclamation that Mikey was some sort of Saint (Who amongst us truly is?) Those of us from the Restaurant industry knew he could be Grumpy and Cranky on a moment’s notice, during any given evening. At times, it appeared he would rather throw the Delicious Food he had just prepared for you AT you, than serve it TO you!!!
That said, Mike was the Kindest, most Gentle Soul you would ever want to meet, a person who would give you the “Shirt off His Back” on a moment’s notice!! One argument that can NEVER be made is the fact that this World would be a much better place with more human beings like Mikey Mailhot in it!! He is truly loved and will be missed by many. Most of all, Mikey, Thanks for the Memories and Laughs. We will all Miss You Dearly....Rest In Peace!!
Mike is survived by his cherished daughter, Kimberly, and her husband, John, his grandchildren, Mia and Thomas, his sister, Carol Woods (Edward), and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved parents.
A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the American Cancer Society or the goffstownrailtrail.org.
