Michael W. Roth

Michael W. Roth, a beloved member of the Dover, NH community, passed on December 20, 2023. He was born on March 11, 1952, to his loving parents Michael W. Roth Sr. and Stella (Legenc) Roth. Michael will be remembered for his remarkable career in the field of Information Technology (IT), his passion for learning, and his kind and generous nature.

Michael displayed a love for computers. He pursued this interest throughout his life and dedicated himself to a career in IT. For many years, he worked diligently in the IT Department at the Thompson School at the University of New Hampshire (UNH). His expertise and dedication made him an invaluable asset to the university community.

Michael's thirst for knowledge was insatiable. After graduating from Manchester Central High School in 1970, he went on to earn a Bachelor's degree from UNH. But he didn't stop there; he continued to take classes at UNH even after starting his career. His commitment to lifelong learning inspired those around him, particularly his nieces and nephews whom he encouraged in their own educational pursuits.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Michael will be remembered for his warm heart and generosity. He possessed a kind spirit that radiated through every interaction he had with others. Friends, family, and colleagues could always rely on him for support and guidance. His presence brought comfort and happiness to those fortunate enough to have known him.

In his leisure time, Michael enjoyed diving into the world of literature. Reading was not only a source of entertainment for him but also an avenue for personal growth and exploration. Whether it was delving into fictional realms or expanding his knowledge through non-fiction works, he found solace in the written word.

Michael is survived by his sister Carol S. Duclos (Curtis) of Goffstown and his sister Jennifer Roth of Wentworth. He will be dearly missed by his loving nieces and nephews as well. His impact on their lives will forever be cherished, and his memory will continue to inspire them.

Michael is predeceased by his parents Michael W. Roth Sr. and Stella (Legenc) Roth, as well as his sister Ann-Marie Cronin.

As we bid farewell to Michael, let us remember the remarkable life he led and the positive influence he had on those around him.
