In Loving Memory Michael Shaun McCarthy August 17, 1966 – May 16, 2026 of Farmington, New Hampshire Beloved husband of 32 years to Donna L. (Talon) McCarthy. Loving father to Ashley M. (McCarthy) Gilbert, Lyndsay A. McCarthy, and Erin L. McCarthy. Cherished grandfather to Kamryn R. McCarthy, Anabella M. Gilbert, Abigail M. Gilbert, and Isaiah S. Brooks. Michael moved to Rochester, New Hampshire in grade school. A skilled painter and contractor, he built his own business and left his mark across the seacoast with a steady hand and keen eye. He enjoyed playing guitar, starting cover bands with Donna and friends, and he loved the outdoors. Above all, he treasured time with his children and grandchildren. He was always ready to help and lighten the mood with a well-timed one-liner. Survived by siblings Gordon McCarthy, Kathy (McCarthy) Knight, Kelley (McCarthy) Crouse, Joanne (McCarthy) Richardson, Raymond Bishop, Teresa (Bishop) Gauthier, Janet (Bishop) Sisco, and Mary (McCarthy) Atkinson; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Ruby (Reagan) and Gordon “Mac” McCarthy; siblings Richard Bishop, Wayne Bishop, Wayne McCarthy, Helen (Bishop) Jacques, Judith (Bishop) LaCroix, and niece Christina Bishop.
