Michele Ann "Teashie" Lacroix, 48, of Exeter, died on June 22, 2009 at Exeter Hospital with her family by her side. The long-time resident of Exeter Health Care died from complications associated with Muscular Dystrophy. Michele was born on October 1, 1960 in Worcester, MA to Arthur and Carol (Grensavitch) Lacroix. She was a graduate of Paxton Center School, Exeter High School Class of '78 and received a BS from Keene State College. After college she lived a few years in Herndon VA where she worked for AT+T, but declining health forced her return to New Hampshire. Michele was an avid Scrabble player and enjoyed reading and attending plays at Seacoast Repertory Theatre. She always had time to keep up with friends and family and was so proud of her nephew and nieces. She attended several local churches but was most recently associated with the Exeter Area Christian Fellowship Church. Despite her life-long illness, Michele managed to achieve many of her goals which included obtaining a driver's license, getting a college degree and learning to play the dulcimer. Michele is survived by her father Arthur Lacroix of Broken Arrow, OK, her mother and stepfather Carol and Richard W. Miller of Exeter, NH, her grandmother Mildred Grensavitch of Paxton, MA, brother Kevin and wife Brenda Lacroix of Strafford, NH, sister Denise and husband Brian Leonard of Exeter, NH, stepsister Paula Miller of Raymond, NH and stepbrother Richard W. Miller, II of Portsmouth, NH. Nephew Zachary Lacroix of Strafford, NH, nieces Elizabeth Lacroix of Strafford, NH, Rachel and Julia Leonard of Exeter, NH and Emma Miller of Portsmouth, NH as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Michele was thankful that she was predeceased by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As per Michele's wishes, there will be a memorial service of celebration on July 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Church 43 Pine Street Exeter, NH officiated by Rev.
