Murrey Norman Lepene, age 83, died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.H. He was born August 6, 1920 in Farmington, N.H., the son of John and Hattie Lepene (Gray). He received his education in Farmington, graduating from high school in 1938. During WWII, he served for four years in the Navy. He worked as an electrician for 30 years with the Local I.B.E.W. 490 out of Dover. Murrey was a family oriented man. He especially enjoyed having his children and grandchildren around. He was a former member of the Riverside Ramblers Square Dancing club. As an avid reader, he especially enjoyed literature of W.W.II. He liked playing cribbage, watching The Price is Right and M.A.S.H. A daughter, Susan Dion and a son, Murrey Lepene Jr., and two brothers, Laurence Lepene and John Lepene predeceased him. He will be dearly missed by members of his family, including his wife of 57 years, Gladys Lepene (Walley) of Farmington, a daughter, Marlene Camp of Farmington, a son Dennis Lepene of Farmington and a daughter Tina Roberge of Strasburg, Pa., 8 grandchildren Kenneth and Robert Dion, Wendell Camp Jr., Mykle and Monique Lepene and Aaron, Carissa and Adam Roberge, and several great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Monday, March 8 at the First Baptist Church of Farmington. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the V.N.A. Rte. 11 of Rochester, 332-1133.
