Myrna M. Adams, 91, of Derry, passed to her eternal home December 4, 2017, at Parkland Medical Center, Derry with her spouse and friends by her bedside.
She was born on July 18, 1926 in Waterville, ME to Harry F. and Lulu (Ballard) McLean. She was educated in the Old Town, ME School System. She was an accomplished seamstress in the art of designing and creating numerous wedding gowns and other formal wear for women.
On October 15, 1945 she married George R. Adams in Old Town, ME. They lived in Springfield, VT prior to moving to Derry, NH. She was also a Past Matron of Ramona Chapter, O.E.S. in Springfield, VT and was awarded the Grand Cross of Color by the International Order of Rainbow for Girls. Mrs. Adams was a volunteer for Rockingham County Parent/Child Mediation Program, and Derry Share Program.
She is survived by her husband, George, with whom she shared 72 years of marriage; son, Stephen Adams and wife Catherine of Ft. Myers, FL; daughter, Bonnie Scriba and husband Rick of Eagle Point, OR; eight grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family request that calling hours are respectfully omitted. Following cremation, the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry NH on Monday December 11, 2017 at 10:00A.M. Internment to follow at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NH Food Bank, 700 E Industrial Park Dr., Manchester, NH 03109. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, NH.
