Nancy Cloughley, 89, of Goffstown, NH, passed away on June 24, 2026.

Nancy was born on June 10, 1937, in Elkin, North Carolina. In the early 1940s, her family moved to Hoboken, New Jersey, where she graduated as the salutatorian of her class at Demarest High School. One of her favorite memories from her senior year was watching the filming of On the Waterfront in Hoboken and receiving an autograph from Marlon Brando.

In 1958, Nancy married the love of her life, John A. Cloughley. Together they shared more than 50 wonderful years of marriage, building a home filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family.

Nancy had a gift for caring for others. She lovingly raised her own children, helped care for her grandchildren, and opened her heart to many other fortunate children throughout the years. She also worked as a flower delivery driver for a local florist, a job she especially enjoyed because she loved bringing happiness to others. Her generous spirit led her to volunteer with Meals on Wheels and The CareGivers. She was also a founding member of the Garden Club in Goffstown.

Nancy found joy in the beauty of nature, especially watching the sky. She treasured the annual gatherings with her cousins, a tradition she enjoyed for decades and one that remained close to her heart.

Nancy is survived by her children, Andrew Cloughley of Goffstown, Deborah Potter of Webster, and Margaret Morrison of Conway; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A small service will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH on Tuesday, July 14 at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels hcmow.org, The CareGivers https://caregiversnh.org/give/, or the Alzheimer's Association .
